HomeGround appoints new Head of Asset Protection

We are delighted to welcome Gary Crook, who has joined the HomeGround team as Head of Asset Protection, a department that brings together the professional resources within our existing Estates Management, Fire and Building Safety teams.

Gary joins from FirstPort, the UK’s largest managing agent, where he was Director of Building Safety Programme Delivery. He previously spent eight years with Mainstay Group, including a period as MD – Residential Property Management. He brings a wealth of leadership and technical experience to the HomeGround team.

As part of our stewardship role for the thousands of buildings across our managed portfolios, overseeing effective and responsible property management by agents on the ground has increasingly meant working in close collaboration with fire and building safety experts. Consolidating these teams will make that important collaboration more effective and enable us to continue our ongoing work and preparations for future legislation and regulation in this area.
